Nike Air Max 1 Premium Tape – Black, Cool Gray & White Camo

Part the Nike Air Max 1 Premium collection, there is a new sub collection. The Nike Air Max 1 Premium Tape! This shoe seperates itself from the crowd because of the whole tape element which makes this shoe so special. On the whole upper you find small paths of smooth black material, looking like Duck Tape. The little paths are running through each other and give the shoe a sporty but also youthful look to it.

In this ‘tape’ case it’s notable that the tape look is not the most exciting element about this shoe. The black rubber sole with the white mid-sole on top has a air-chambre for the perfect comfort. Then around the shoe you see luxurious black nubuck leather going from toe to heel and on top of that you vind the exciting part: the whole upper is covered with see through mesh. Mesh is a woven kind of material which can be used too make the shoe breatheble (as seen on the toebox of most Nike Air Max 1’s) but also to make a print less striking and head-turning. That’s what Nike was going for with the Nike Air Max 1 Premium Tape – Black & Cool Gray & White camo. For the upper they used a black and Cool Grey camouflage print which they covered with a thin layer of see through mesh for the subtle effect. Also, thicker mesh is used on the toebox.
